FATHER BILL'S SERVES BIRD WITH A SIDE OF TOGETHERNESS


Quincy, MA


It was a Thanksgiving Dinner trimmed with emotion at Christ Episcopal Church on Quincy Avenue, where homeless shelter Father Bill's Place served its annual free holiday meal.

Father Bill's, one of the largest shelters on the South Shore, is operated by the Quincy Interfaith Sheltering Coalition and is funded by donations and government grants.

Volunteer Dennis "The Pepper Man" Bates of Hyde Park, dished up stuffing at the annual dinner. Bates has been volunteering for 13 years.
